Ethan Frome is a simple man who lives with his wife, Zeena. Since Zeena is sick, they hire Zeena's cousin, Mattie, as a helper. Everything changes for Ethan after Mattie comes. They fall in love each other, but they don't know that this love is going to end up with a tragic result.
